Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Greg Martin. I’m a medical doctor working in Public Health in Ireland.

When I made the move to Public Health I needed to learn a new bag of tricks including research methods, statistics, R programming, epidemiology and more. I’ll be honest, I was terrified. Learning statistics, for example, just felt impossible. The formulas seemed unthinkably complicated and the mathematics was just way beyond my reach.

Out of necessity I developed a new way of learning - a way of breaking things down into small, bite size chunks, each of which was easy to understand. I’ve now used this system to help thousands of people get their MPH degrees, PhDs or even get the skills needed for a promotion at work.

Now I love research, statistics, epidemiology and R programming. I’m the Director of the Health Protection Surveillance Centre and use those skills all day, every day. And I really love to teach. I'm honored to be a part of your learning journey.

What people often ask before joining:

  • Do all of the courses come with a certificate of completion?

I killed it in my exams

Before I took Greg Martin's class on data analysis with R, I was totally struggling to get ready for my exams. But let me tell you, Greg is a freaking rockstar when it comes to teaching. He's super dedicated and passionate about the subject, and he made all the tough stuff seem like a piece of cake. Thanks to his approach, I killed it in my exams and learned a ton of valuable skills in statistical analysis with R. This class has seriously changed the game for me academically, and I owe it all to Greg's expertise and support. If you're looking to learn statistical analysis with R from the best, I highly recommend taking Greg Martin's course.
