Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Greg Martin. I’m a medical doctor working in Public Health in Ireland.
When I made the move to Public Health I needed to learn a new bag of tricks including R programming, data visualization, research methods, statistics, epidemiology and more. I’ll be honest, I was terrified. Learning statistics, for example, just felt impossible. The formulas seemed unthinkably complicated and the mathematics was just way beyond my reach.
Out of necessity I developed a new way of learning - a way of breaking things down into small, bite size chunks, each of which was easy to understand. I’ve now used this system to help thousands of people get their MPH degrees, PhDs or even get the skills needed for a promotion at work.
Now I love R programming, research, statistics, and epidemiology. I’m the Director of the Health Protection Surveillance Centre and use those skills all day, every day. And I really love to teach. I'm honored to be a part of your learning journey.
